These extremely rare, possibly undescribed, little mezzotint still lifes of fruit and vegetables on a ledge gain their charm through the very pared-down compositions and unfussy style. Despite their apparent simplicity and minuscule scale, these prints have a great physical and sensual - almost erotic - presence.
