A very similar Zhangzhou enameled dish of smaller size (38.8 cm. diam.), dated to Ming dynasty, 17th century, decorated with the same scene albeit some variations in the background, is in The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, Museum no.01004.

A RARE AND LARGE ZHANGZHOU ENAMELED DISH
LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The center is decorated in turquoise glaze with a Daoist deity and a deer in a rocky landscape, and the cavetto has shaped panels of bird and flowers, separated by four characters reading 'yu tang jia qi' (Precious vessel for the Jade Hall).
15 ½ in. (39.4 cm.) diam.
