A similar bergere formerly in the collection of the comte de Ganay, and stamped 'G. JACOB' (maître in 1765), has the same eagle's mask arm terminals (F.J.B. Watson, Louis XVI Furniture, New York, 1960, p. 142).

Each covered in gold and ivory putti-pattern silk, the toprail carved with berried laurel, above stiff-leaf and beaded padded arms terminating in eagle's masks, on tapering fluted legs, inscribed in white chalk ‘88717’
