Rudolph-Friedrich-August Henneberg, Brunswick (1862 - 1876). A member of the Academy of Berlin, Henneberg had considerable success in Vienna and Paris - most notably at the Paris Universelle Exposition of 1878.

Finely painted after Henneberg's 'die Fagd nach dem Gluck' with a view emblematic of Avarice depicted as a horseman pursuing Fortune closely followed by Death, the body of a brunette maiden in a white gown at the right end of the bridge below the horse's hooves, mad Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle at the far left
