The top of the five-pronged vajra emerging from an lotus flower. Below this is a stem with a node supported by four heads with diadems. The body of the bell, which resembles a stupa with raised swags and floral motifs.
Closely related examples can be found in Linden Museum, Stuttgart (see van Lohuizen-de Leeuw, Indo-Javanese Metalwork, Stuttgart, 1984, pp. 99 and 99, nos. 64 and 65).

The head is cast with bulging eyes, hooked nose and open mouth bearing teeth and fangs. He wears skull earring, his coiffure with a wavy pig-tail. The other head with a wrathful face is cast hollow to function as a rattle.
