NORTHEAST PERSIA, LATE 17TH CENTURY

This carpet with its fine drawing, harshang patterned field and soft colors, is one of a small number of surviving examples woven in the Khorassan region of Northeastern Persia in the late 17th century. A similar carpet was advertised in HALI No.90, January 1997, p.50.
