The trefid end with notched 'ears' and engraved guide-lines to front, the back of the stem engraved with initials E over I.M over B over W.A, the bowl with ribbed rat-tail

Although unascribed, there is a hand-written note from Timothy Kent on the ticket accompanying this spoon. Kent, the noted authority on early spoons, states the strong probability that this spoon is from the Wessex area.
