Comprising a peach guilloché enamel rectangular case, centering upon a circular-cut diamond cursive 'M', with a pavé-set diamond tapered pushpiece; and a lighter en suite, both mounted in 18k gold, case 5½ x 2½ x 1 ins. and lighter 3 x¾ ins., both with French assay marks and maker's marks

Being one of María's favorite personal objects, she carried this cigarette lighter for her puritos every day. At one time it contained a portrait of Antoine Tzapoff's eyes inside the case made by Tzapoff, himself.
